防晒霜防晒系数(SPF) 是不是越高越好?
防晒霜的防晒系数（Sun Protection Factor, 英文缩写SPF)是测量防晒品对阳光中紫外线的防御能力的检测指数，判断依据是皮肤的最低红斑剂量. SPF数值适用于每一个人，其计算方法是：SPF=最低红斑剂量（用防晒用品后）/最低红斑剂量（用防晒用品前). 假设紫外线的强度不会因时间改变，一个没有任何防晒措施的人如果待在阳光下20分钟后皮肤会变红，当他使用SPF15的防晒霜时，表示可延长15倍的时间，也就是在300分钟后皮肤才会被晒红, 20（分钟）*15（SPF）=300分钟 。以此类推。
SPF虽然是防晒的重要指标，但并不表示SPF值越高，保护力就越强。例如SPF15有93%的保护能力，而SPF34却只有97%的保护能力，但是，SPF值越大，其通透性越差，会妨碍皮肤的正常分泌与呼吸。SPF值越大,化学防晒剂添加的也就越多，而这类防晒剂是有腐蚀性的，添加的越多，腐蚀性也越强. .此外,由于防晒系数过高的产品， 相对而言, 质地也会比较油腻、厚重，会容易产生阻塞毛孔的现象，甚至滋生暗疮和粉刺。且一些属于化学性防晒的高系数防晒品，在经过长波紫外线的照射下，吸收热能后，多半会转换成其它物质，导致肌肤出现过敏的现象.
以东方人的肤质来说，日常防护可选用SPF10～SPF15的防晒品；如果从事游泳、打球等户外休闲活动，SPF20就足以抵抗紫外线的伤害，而不会给肌肤造成负担 . 如果去海边，阳光直射的话就选择SPF30的防晒品.
